We have recently unveiled our latest Community Gallery project, "The History of Here", which provides the local community of Pollok and surrounding areas the chance to walk down memory lane and enjoy images from the past 40 years.
Today Pollok is a vastly different place than it was forty years ago, and it is with great delight that we are able to reveal these historical images - celebrating this site's colourful and varied past.
With help from The Evening Times, who kindly donated the photography from their archives, we are able to keep the past alive by presenting "The History of Here" - a collection of photographs of Pollok's commercial beginnings.
As part of the exhibition, we are inviting people to look through the gallery and highlight anyone images or faces they recognise; either themselves or friends and family, through social media. We have created a special commemorative hashtag #SilverburnStories in the hope of bringing the community, past and present, together to share their memories of Pollok.
We look forward to welcoming everyone to 'The History of Here' to see just how the community helped shape the future of Pollok.
