Free insurance cover applies to new purchases of foreign currency notes from a Thomas Cook or The co-operative travel store with a minimum spend of £400 up to a maximum spend of £2,000. Cover applies from date of purchase to date return to the UK or for 31 days, whichever is the greater. This is a contingent insurance that only applies if no other insurance is in force. Cover is limited to the value of the till receipt subject to a reduction of £50 for each and every 24 hours spent overseas. An excess of £50 applies in respect of each and every loss. Loss, theft or attempted theft must be reported to local police within 24 hours of discovery. Exchange rate as stated on the travel money till receipt will apply to claims.
