Earlier this year, we opened our doors to welcome a Polestar Glasgow pop-up to Silverburn. By the end of 2023, Polestar will be taking over an entire unit to play host to the Polestar Silverburn car showroom – the very first of its kind in Scotland!
Currently, guests can visit the Polestar pop-up to learn all about the brand and its values, along with booking that all-important test drive to let you get behind the wheel. If you’re not familiar with Polestar and their products, read on to find out everything you need to know.
Who is Polestar?
Polestar is a Swedish electric car manufacturer whose innovative designs are helping to pave the way towards a more sustainable future. Polestar put sustainability at their forefront, aiming to create a climate neutral car by 2030 and making smaller changes such as improving electric car battery sustainability through repair and recycling.
Models available from Polestar include the hybrid Polestar 1, the fully electric Polestar 2, and the soon-to-come electric Polestar 3. Head to the Polestar pop-up to view the Polestar 2 up close and order your very own right here at Silverburn.
Are Polestar cars electric?
Yes! All Polestar cars are at least hybrid models, with both the latest and upcoming releases being fully electric. Since sustainability and environmental conservation are key pillars of the brand, developing and creating electric cars is what they do best.
Are Polestar cars sustainable?
Polestar are transparent about their carbon footprint and sustainability targets. Wherever possible, they focus on remanufacturing, repurposing and recycling batteries, parts and materials to make their cars as circular as possible.
Materials have been considered throughout the manufacturing process to reduce the effect on the environment, such as using vegan synthetic leather and animal welfare certified materials to create a sleek interior while minimising the harmful side effects to the planet. And Polestar refurbish and repair pre-owned Polestar cars to give them a second life.
