Christmas is just around the corner, and Silverburn is bringing all the festive feels with lots of  entertainment for the whole family. Take a look at what’s on at Silverburn this Christmas!

Santa meet and greet

11am – 6pm, Friday 22nd December
11am – 6pm, Saturday 23rd December
11am – 2pm, Sunday 24th December

Capture that magical moment when your little one meets the season’s biggest icon – Santa Claus! Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity will host daily meet and greet sessions with the famous man in red, from 1st to 24th December outside Next.

The charity will be raising funds to help seriously ill children and their families this Christmas, with a suggested donation of £3 per child to meet Santa and receive a small treat. Cash and card payments accepted.

For children with autism or other sensory needs, Santa will also host a quiet hour every Sunday from 10am until 11am within Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity’s Christmas Hub, located opposite Next.

There’s no pre-booking needed for the Santa Meet & Greet sessions, and queuing may be required at busy times.

The Coca-Cola Christmas Truck
Friday 24th November
Back by popular demand, the iconic Coca-Cola truck will arrive at Silverburn’s Cineworld entrance on Black Friday to officially launch Silverburn’s festive celebrations. This a free, non-bookable event, with queues open from 12pm until 8pm.

Elves Behavin’ Badly
Sunday 3rd December

The popular pranking elves are coming to Silverburn! Come and meet Elfie & Elvie who will be making personal appearances at intervals throughout the day from 11am. 

No booking is required. Guests will get the chance to meet Elfie and Elvie on a first come, first served basis. Find out more here.

The Santa Bungee
Saturday 9th December

Adrenaline seekers will love our Santa Bungee event which takes place opposite the Silverburn Bus Station on Saturday 9th December. The daring jumps are all in aid of Catherine McEwan Foundation.

Christmas at the Movies

Christmas films are in full swing at Cineworld Silverburn! Don’t miss the highly anticipated Wonka movie which hits the big screens on Friday 15th December. And there’s a host of festive films showing from 28th November:

  • The Holiday – 28th Nov
  • Elf (20th Anniversary) – 2nd to 4th Dec
  • Andre Rieu’s White Christmas – 2nd & 3rd December
  • Santa Claus: The Movie – 10th Dec
  • Wonka showing from 15th December
  • Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost In New York – 17th Dec

Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity Christmas Hub
1st – 24th December

Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity has opened a Christmas Hub next to Smiggle to raise funds for the young patients at Glasgow’s Royal Hospital for Children, and their families. The Christmas Hub features:

  • A Christmas gift shop
  • Children’s arts & crafts activities
  • Gift wrapping service
  • A donation station, where selection boxes, arts and craft kits, and toiletries are welcomed.

Ask one of the volunteers in-store for further details.

Plus, we’ve got entertainment planned from 11th December to make this Christmas special for our guests. Choirs and local bands will be visiting to bring us all a bit of festive cheer.
