Spend the day at a soft play

It’s a good idea to plan ahead for those cold and wet afternoons! There’s lots of things to do with the kids in Glasgow to keep them entertained indoors.

Don’t let the bad weather spoil your fun – head to Fun Street soft play for more indoor fun. Suitable for children up to the age of 12, Fun Street is packed full of activities to keep the whole family amused for hours. Featuring a soft play, toddler play for the little ones, a climbing wall, puppet shows and a virtual iZone, Fun Street is a creative and exciting place for kids of all ages.

And don’t miss out on the exciting new Ocean Adventures soft play, now open at Silverburn! Located outside Marks & Spencer, the free soft play features a crawl-through submarine, whale hump slide, and built-in activity panels so you can continue the beach fun no matter the weather.

Cineworld has family friendly releases lined up, including screenings of the much-loved Frozen movie on October 14th and 15th at 10am. Plus, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is still showing. And don’t miss your chance to see DC’s Blue Beetle on the big screen for the first time.

Silverburn has plenty of family-friendly dining options, perfect for taking the kids out for a meal. Maybe you’re grabbing a bite to eat after a day of shopping, or maybe you just fancy a night off from cooking.

Head to Fridays to get that Friday feeling any day of the week, transport yourself to Italy with a fresh pizza from Zizzi, or indulge in a mountain of ice cream, waffles and crepes at Heavenly Desserts.

For a taste of the Mediterranean that the whole family can tuck into, visit The Real Greek and sample some authentic Greek cuisine. For some fast, delicious Asian inspired meals, head to Chopstix.

Activities on a budget

If you’re looking for free things to do in Glasgow with kids, wrap up in some warm layers and pay a visit to Pollok Park. Spending time in the fresh air is a great choice, and the beautiful space is right on our doorstep. Take in the changing autumn colours and scavenge for conkers and while you’re at it.
