Silverburn Cares

At Silverburn, we care about helping our local community to shine. Our community fund, Silverburn Cares, was established in 2007 to give back to our community and help those who need it most.

Charity work

We work with a range of charity partners. With the help of our guests, in 2022 we donated a record £56,000 to organisations such as Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, Social Bite and Alzheimer Scotland.

Last year, we spent over 140 hours organising fundraising activities and donated over £40,000 of space in kind for awareness and fundraising events on the mall.

A welcoming environment for all

We continually evaluate how the Silverburn team and destination can remain as welcoming and inclusive as possible for our guests. We’ve worked closely with visible and invisible disability groups (including Crohn’s and Colitis UK, AccessAble and Scottish Autism) to improve signage and our guests’ experience.

Our staff have completed training to provide a better experience for guests living with Alzheimer’s disease. And we hold a monthly movie screening to provide a free activity for service users of Alzheimer Scotland and provide respite for their carers.

We provide mobility equipment through our Shopmobility service and make visits easier for our family guests with quiet rooms, sensory toys, ear defenders and over 150 free family parking spaces.

Accessibility

At Silverburn, you can find over 150 shops, restaurants and leisure facilities over one floor. There’s step-free access throughout the mall and lifts to allow access from all levels of the multi-storey car park. We have over 100 free accessible parking spaces for our guests.

Access guides and more information about accessibility can be found here.
