Job Description

Front of House (FOH) Team Member As the face of Patisserie Valerie, you will be the first person our customers see. Your goal is to provide exceptional service with a warm smile.

• Welcoming customers and assisting them with our cake and menu offerings.
• Taking orders, serving food and beverages, and handling till transactions.
• Crafting beautiful coffees and hot drinks (barista training provided!).
• Maintaining a pristine, hygienic, and visually stunning cake counter and dining area.

Back of House (BOH) Team Member The engine of our store, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

• Assisting with basic food preparation to Patisserie Valerie brand standards.
• Ensuring the kitchen and preparation areas are kept spotless and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Managing the dishwasher station, ensuring a steady supply of clean crockery and cutlery for the FOH team.
• Supporting the team with stock rotation and deliveries.

Shift Leader The operational anchor of the shift, supporting the Store Manager in driving sales, maintaining standards, and motivating the team.

• Leading shifts, ensuring both FOH and BOH teams are working seamlessly together.
• Opening and closing the store securely.
• Handling customer queries and resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
• Training and mentoring new Team Members to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Assisting with stock management, ordering, and cash handling.

• Experience:
• For Team Members: Previous experience in hospitality or retail is a bonus, but not essential as full training is provided.
• For Shift Leaders: Previous supervisory or shift-leading experience in a fast-paced cafe, restaurant, or retail environment is required.
• Flexibility: Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and bank holidays, to match the trading hours of Silverburn Shopping Centre.
