In line with Scottish Climate week, we’re taking a week to celebrate everything that makes Silverburn green, from our PV roof panels to our commitment to zero landfill waste. Join us for a spotlight on sustainability!
We’re teaming up with our retailers and companies who are committed to sustainability all year round. You’ll also catch some of the team breaking a sweat on the mall to Break the Cycle of homelessness with Social Bite. Keep your eyes peeled around the mall and on our social channels to see more.
Wednesday – We played host to a local school, Crookston Castle Primary, to educate then on sustainability and get them involved in some eco-friendly crafts.
Thursday – In partnership with Social Bite, we’ll be trying to Break the Cycle of homelessness in a sponsored cycle. The Silverburn team will be raising money for Social Bite and trying to cycle 100 miles collectively!
Friday – We’ll have a retailer showcase on the mall. Boots will be showcasing their sustainable beauty and skincare ranges, with staff on hand to answer questions and chat about green products.
Saturday & Sunday – Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity will be on the mall to provide sustainable arts and crafts all weekend!
At Silverburn it’s Earth Day, every day. We’re committed all year round to doing our part to limit our impact on the planet. That includes 900 solar panels on our roof, switching to LED lightbulbs, recycling 66% of our waste and using coffee grounds in our landscaping.
