Welcoming Bees to Silverburn

We’re buzzing to welcome 4 hives of new VIPs (Very Important Pollinators) to Silverburn. That’s right, honeybees have landed on our roof and they’re settling into their new home nicely.

Honeybees are nature’s busiest workers, pollinating around a third of the food we eat. In the UK, bees help to pollinate over 70 crops and support wild plants that feed birds, mammals, and other insects. If bees thrive, everything else does too!

To mark the occasion, you can follow our bee trail this summer around the mall. Collect an activity sheet from the Guest Service Desk and follow the trail to learn fun facts about these very important insects.

If you complete the trail and hand your sheet back to the Guest Service Desk, you’ll get a sweet treat, courtesy of HARIBO!
